ARTS & OPINION'S FILM REVIEW GUIDELINES
We are looking to review deserving films that merit greater
exposure: in particular, films from Iran or China. Also general
essays on Iranian or Chinese film.
The films do not necessarily have to be current.
Don't give the plot away.
Tell us how the film might affect the (re)viewer, emotionally,
intellectually.
We want to know why the film was made, what it tells of the
political climate or culture in which it is set.
Try to keep the review under 800 words.
And finally, concerning your
curicculum vitae, we are an equal opportunity publisher:
i.e. it makes no difference whether you have 100 publications
or none to your name: we publish on merit.
