spewer of hate or soothsayer who dares to speak the truth?

DAVID SOLWAY INTERVIEW

from Donald Dewey
I admire the effort of Arts & Opinion, but the choice of "spewer of hate" or "soothsayer who dares to speak the truth" is more sound than light. How about something far simpler, such as intellectual hack bent on footnoting his racism? He once put down Glen Beck? Wow! Somehow that comes off sounding like the obverse of claiming that some of his best friends are Jews (or Muslims, Native Americans, or whatever else is selling). That he finds a certified moron like Palin interesting shouldn't surprise: All middle-aged white men fall in love with the actress who plays the librarian in porn films.
It's another alibi, like reading the articles in Playboy.
