Holistic.
Profoundly relaxing. Rejuvenating and rebalancing. The ancient
art of Shiatsu, firmly rooted in more than 3500 years of Asian
medicine, is one of the oldest and most effective forms of
natural healing – healing with hands.
Shiatsu draws
its working principles from the same foundation as acupuncture,
but does not involve needles or instruments. Unlike massage
therapy, no oils are required. Through sensitive touch, a
Shiatsu therapist uses thumbs, palms, fingers and sometimes
elbows and knees to apply pressure at various points of the
body, as well as gentle stretching techniques to relieve a
wide spectrum of symptoms and encourage the body’s natural
healing abilities.
Whether it be
back pain, shoulder or neck problems, headaches, fatigue or
the pent-up stress of daily life, Shiatsu stands on its own
as an opportunity to honour and appreciate the uniqueness
of your physical, emotional and spiritual self.
Take your health
in your own hands and try Shiatsu today.
